Hello! I’m Lydia, and I love to sew! Quilts, bags, pillows, clothing, accessories, you name it! My husband and I live in Georgia with our two children. I’m a Spanish teacher by trade, but left teaching to stay at home with my babies. We have a two year old son, Desmond and a newborn daughter, Kate.
My mom showed me how to sew when I was 8 years old and helped me start my first quilt by hand. As you can guess, that was an overwhelming project for such a little girl! With my mom’s encouragement, I continued to try different sewing projects over the years, but really fell in love with it while I was in college. My mother-in-law, who is an expert seamstress and embroidery designer, has motivated me and shared her wealth of knowledge about all things sewing. I love that the art of sewing can bring generations together and hope that I can pass my love for creating on to my children as well.
