I finally got around to making this yellow and grey quilt! I’m making it specifically for someone special, so I hope she likes it! If not, I do! I cut extra squares out to make myself one eventually. This one is a little bigger than my normal quilts; it’s about 62″ by 52″. That’s not huge in comparison to most quilts, but it’s big enough to wrap up in.
Yesterday, I created a placement “board” (a piece of quilt batting tacked to a wall) and laid out the squares. I managed to get the entire quilt pieced last night and started quilting it this morning. I used the Babylock Sashiko Machine to quilt it, and I only stitched horizontally. All I have to do now is sew on the binding! I’m so happy we had these four days off, so I could sew!
I included my 365 posts for the last two days in this post as well. Enjoy!
Beautiful Lydia! I’m re-decorating the basement bathroom using those colors: gray, white, & buttercup yellow! I stripped the wallpaper yesterday. Haven’t decided whether to paint walls gray ur the buttercup yellow. I may make a skirt for the pedestal sink. ;0) seems these three colors are very POPULAR! Have fun sewing!
